Contribution Rules
- I am a United States citizen or a lawfully admitted permanent resident.
- I am at least 18 years of age.
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and these funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card or drawn off my own personal bank account and not with a corporate or business credit card or bank account or a card or bank account issued to another person. Contributions from corporations, labor unions, federal government contractors, and foreign nationals without green cards are not permitted.
- Please note the following:
- Federal law requires that we use our best efforts to obtain and report your name, mailing address, occupation and employer. We respectfully require that partners of partnerships and members of LLC's contribute individually, instead of using the bank account or credit card of their business entity.
- Contributions to candidates and political committees are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Contributions are voluntary and will be used for political purposes in connection with federal elections. You have the right to refuse to contribute without reprisal or ask to contribute to other candidates. Any recommended amounts are merely a suggestion, and you may contribute more, less, or not at all.
- Unless otherwise disclaimed, all donations to candidates or committees are earmarked donations within the meaning of 11 C.F.R. §110.6(b) to the MORTGAGE BANKERS ASSOCIATION POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE (MORPAC - C00004812) for the designated recipient. Your contribution will be forwarded to the committee(s) you have selected. You are responsible for tracking your own compliance with federal contribution limits ($3,500 per election to each federal candidate committee).
